We start with a thorough understanding of your market and target audience. Where do we get this information? From you! You know your industry, and we need your help to learn all about it so we can design effectively and create print work that encompasses your know-how expressed with our skills. If you have a current logo and identity colors that you wish to use, these will also be taken into consideration with the planning of your printing project.
This is when we need to work out exactly what you need printed and start to work toward choosing appropriate mediums for your project. Business cards, for example, can be printed on paper stock available in a plethora of colors and qualities, on recycled papers, or can even be printed on plastic or metal. The inks used can be flat or shiny, and can also include embossing.
Even the simple production of business cards can offer a great number of decisions that go well beyond design considerations. Because of this, working on your print design must coincide with your working toward deciding on the medium(s) you'd like to use for your project.
After we have the content for your printing project, we will provide suggestions and examples of different elements that we feel would be of benefit to you.
Before proceeding to the actual design stage, rough sketches of your project will be created, representing basic placement of elements. When you are fully satisfied with all aspects of your rough design, your project will then enter the development stage of production.
