Logo Design
To build your Identity requires industry know-how and strategic planning. We start with a basic concept and expand on these design elements. We start simple and build up and out.
A rough sketch on a notepad is where our designs begin. Computers are excellent for creating attractive completed logos and such, but they lack the intuitive feel of pencil on paper.
As we create your entire Identity based on this first crucial design,
we always start with pencil in hand.
Completed LogoWhen your logo has been created to your satisfaction, we have far more than just a starting point. Your Identity colors have been established, and, just as important, we have a feeling toward the 'personality' and style your Identity will encompass.
Product Label DesignAfter an established logo is in place, identifying your business—your product labeling can begin.
Product labeling requires care as well as imagination. Your product should not be a mirror image of your logo and identity. It should, instead, reflect aspects of these elements, expanding on your Identity, not duplicating it.
Completed Product LabelingYour completed labeling is complimentary to your logo, but also offers separate product recognition. This is very important. You want a unique label for every product you offer, but it is also necessary for clients to see the use of color and placement as recognizable. If a consumer is faced with dozens of products, your products should stand out as part of your product line. In this way, your products sell for you.
Packaging your ProductIf you provide sales of your product through a retail location or via Internet sales, you have an excellent opportunity to extend your marketing through external packaging.
Packaging materials give a more polished, professional look to your products. For retail sales, products can be packaged in decorative bags emblazoned with your logo.
With Internet-based business sales, this can be equally effective for sales, especially with gift items. Customers receive an item packaged in your materials. While the quality of the item is dire, attractive packaging is also essential in building a memorable experience for your customers.
Packaging for ServicesIf you sell a service rather than a product, 'packaging' becomes even more critical.
If a client requests information about your services, is a simple email response a fair representation of what you offer? If not, you need to consider creating brochures to represent your services. A well-made publication demonstrates the quality of what you do in a tangible manner. As the client may not understand the value of your services, it is up to you to explain why they need your help, and what your services provide (in layman's terms). Services can be difficult to put a price to, so this is your opportunity to express pricing, and explain your fees in an understandable manner.
You design services; we work to package your concepts.
Printed MaterialsPrinted materials include everything from letterhead and envelopes, business cards, packing labels, menus, etc.
These materials can be designed by template, allowing you the ability to print out your own products, or can be created with high-end materials; the possibilities are nearly endless and should be planned individually, dependent on which materials are most beneficial and cost-effective to your business.
As so many printed possibilities are available, please contact us for more information regarding your printing needs. We'll walk you through what you'll need and create the most cost effective solution to match your budget and clientele.
Secondary ProductsMany businesses increase revenue with products specifically geared to market their business. Other companies extend the marketing of their business with gratis items. Items can include clothing, mouse pads, bumper stickers, pens, etc.
Offering secondary products can be done either using your logo, or—as in the examples here—carry new designs that are tied to your business identity but offer other images that appeal to your clientele.
One Planet Design does not offer in-house printing services, but will gladly assist you in finding the appropriate quality printer for your needs and will work with them to provide you with the best products at reasonable costs. If this type of marketing interests you, please contact us for a broad range of product examples.
Website DesignOur web design strategies are well documented here and our explanation of the importance of offering a web presence are available here.

External SignageIf you have a physical location, signage is an obvious necessity.
As in print design, the possibilities are almost endless in what you can offer. Neon, wooden signage, plastic forms, painted graphics for your windows, etc. Matching signage appropriate to your clientele is most important. While you can go over-the-top without impacting your business, poor signage beneath the level your clients anticipate will hurt you.
Comparable businesses will give you a good starting point of what you need; please inquire as to the best choices, as different designs and logos can replicated best (and most cost-effectively) with different materials.
