About One Planet Design

Before the economic climate we are currently dealing with, there were many people working very sucessfully on the fringe of the design world. These people were freelance designers. These people offered talents and skills that many design firms chose to hire on a contract basis, because their skills were too valuable to employ on a full-time basis. These designers enjoyed the freedom of working on their own terms; working from their homes and/or working in a shop for a limited amount of time. This flexibility worked well for design firms, for freelance designers, and for clients.

With the economy what it is, design firms are now choosing to work in-house, providing what they have to offer. These firms provide work to consumers that does not meet former expectations—and so are able to cut costs by removing the freelance designer from the equation.

The people who were called in to provide the best body content, photography, videography, illustration, and navigation were displaced by inferior content and quickly found themselves 'unemployed'.

We want to work, and a few of us have teamed together to create incredible content for you as a unit with 'One Planet Design'.

You can have a site designed by a high-end design firm for far less than you used to pay before the economic issues we face. The negative side of this equation is that the best people working to develop your site are no longer working for these firms (or you).
